Granville Redmond's home was located in La Crescenta looking up at the Verdugo Mountains, just a stone's throw from Joshua and Libby Meador's home. The home remained in the Redmond family after the artist's death in 1935. Joshua never had the privilage of meeting Granville Redmond, but paid homage to his memory with this painting and he and Libby were neighbors of Granville Redmond's daughter and granddaughter. |
