Joshua Meador Festivities |
||
The city of Columbus, Mississippi is honoring one of its own, favorite son Joshua Meador. Read more by linking to these newspaper articles. As a young person, Josh was always interested in art and drawing. In time, his trek would lead him through the Art Institute of Chicago, a creative career at Walt Disney Studios as a director of animated effects, and a career as a fine art painter. But even in his early days, he was leaving his creative mark. As a high school junior, he painted a picture of mountains on the inside wall of his family's garage, and dated it March 12, 1929. |
