... After the war, he worked for a brief time in commercial art in New York, but by the late 1940's was back home in California. Over his thirty year career in art, he taught, worked as a graphic designer, and operated his own gallery in Encino. He was prominent among the post WWII artists in the California Style Watercolor Movement. His favored subject were scenes of the California coastline. He produced a body of work in Hawaii as well where he and his family spent a lot of time. In 1965, he was president of the California Water Color Society. Back to the top
