Elizabeth Hoen 1868 - 1955 |
Elizabeth Hoen was born in Santa Rosa, California, and is known for her watercolor landscapes. Like another notable Sonma County artist, Grace Allison Griffith, Elizabeth studied art with Lorenzo P. Latimer, who proved to be quite influential in her work. |
Elizabeth kept a studio in Los Angeles. She died at the Santa Rosa Hotel in 1955. In 1917, she exhibited at the San Francisco Art Association. Her works are included in the collection of the Grace Hudson Museum in Ukiah, California, and in the Sonoma County Museum in Santa Rosa. |
