This pleasing sketch-like painting acquired from Cape Cod is more likely to draw attention as Cezanne-influenced by its thick, confident strokes and bright colors, than as a George Gardner Symons as hinted by the "G.S." in red, lower right. There is no estate stamp and the attribution does not appear justified given the very slight similarities of style and unusual palette. Information would be welcome.
